Diary Of The Swine Flu

Daily Rant, Kids & Family

While much of last week is a bit of a blurr thanks to the swine flu. This week are are well, focused, and ready to get back at it.  I am sure many of you thought I died but I managed to survive the week from…..well lets just say it wasn’t hog heaven!  Here is a short recap.

Friday night:

Went out with family for nice bike ride down to the farmers market. Enjoyed the time with my boys & the crisp fall air. Ahh all is well.

Saturday am:

Husband, Son & I all feel like someone side swiped us on our bikes while we were not looking. Oldest son goes to the garage to inspect his  bike  & gather evidence against the truck that hit us. Coughed so hard on the way to the garage he gave up is investigation for now.

Youngest son feels great decides to redecorate bathroom with TP.

Husband in bed , I do 5 loads of laundry, plan for Sunday School, cook dinner, get him this him that, him again.

 Check temps refill Oj everyone in bed I feel like crap……This will pass!

OMG  feel worse! Scramble to find replacements for Sunday School, head pounds, dogs need food, baby out of diapers, us out of Oj!  I have a high fever.

Husband in bed

Drag myself to store for essentials, climb back into bed…kids awake! Baby feels great again” HI MAMA”

Oldest son still feeling yucky but able to make demands.

Clean house in anticipation of Monday day care kids, finish homework with oldest son take more Tylenol…….This will pass

Monday am:

Call in son, make doctors appts. OHHHH my head! Baby still fine & needs more play dough!

3 hours in doctor with two kids, one feeling yucky and a 102 temp- one feeling great but clingy. Both want held….ohhh my head. At least I am by myself & my husband went to his own doctor so I only have to hold two kids.

Make all the phone calls, & prepair for isolation.

Husband back to bed

I do more laundry, make calls, chicken soup, try to take a bath…..yeah so much for that I will have to just name this pain in my body-Hi Fred!

Tuesday-Thursday

Husband in bed.

People bring us food, but set it outside careful not to touch the door bell. Thank God for text ( ur food is here wait till I leave 2 come out)

Mom I need, I want, can I , could you, PLEEEEASE, MAAAAAAM!

medsOldest son and I fight over taking very expensive meds 2xs a day for five days.

Youngest son still fine! So glad we filled that other expensive Rx just in case.

I develop a dependency on Tylenol Cold & Flu.

Husband In bed.

Thermometer begs for mercy.ages

Fall so behind on laundry no one is wearing underwear.

 Down about 657 liters of fluid between four people to ward of dehydration.

Boys getting restless of being inside & cannot watch one more movie or color one more picture. I just let them do whatever to get a minute to sit & recover…… bad Idea , now I will go clean up the water!

Friday am:

I think we will all make it! Bye Fred!

 Yeah we are clear & can go outside !To the park we go, the boys & I have earned this outing! I have never wanted to go to the park so bad in my life……….  I open the  door It’s snowing and 15 degrees. I hit my knees & cry!

Saturday am:

Time to return the casserole dishes & send the thank yous.  Catch up on laundry, dishes, house work, writing, bills, errands!

    Hi guys…so glad you’re feeling better! Nick will be happy to have his buddy back at school today! Hopefully wearing underwear! :)

    Here’s hoping it passes my family by. Don’t think I could handle 4 big babies… :)
